Internet speeds at Terrakom

Terrakom will deliver the highest possible speed for the package the customer has chosen and that the characteristics of the telephone line allow for optimal use.

Internet speeds depend on the physical medium over which data is transmitted and on the technology. The physical media for data transmission are optical fibre, coaxial cable and the copper telephone pair. Internet speeds over optical fibre and coaxial cable have fixed values, while speeds over the telephone pair depend on the capabilities of the line. Terrakom will deliver the highest possible speed for the package the customer has chosen and that the characteristics of the telephone line allow for optimal use.

The actual internet speed over a telephone pair depends on:

  • the distance of the connection/customer from the telephone exchange
  • the quality of the line from the telephone exchange to the connection/customer
  • the quality of the in-home wiring at the customer’s premises

The actual internet speed at the end customer depends on:

  • the number of devices connected to the internet
  • the characteristics of the space (especially with wireless access)
  • interference from other electrical devices (with wireless connections)
  • interference from other signals (with wireless connections)
  • the capabilities and characteristics of the connected equipment (computers, phones, etc.)
  • the characteristics of the software used to connect to the internet, etc.
  • the current load on the cable bundle

If the delivered speed differs from the contracted package and the speeds within it, check the speed using the HAKOMetar application at www.hakom.hr, and you can send us your measurements at podrska@terrakom.hr

We advise customers to perform all measurements over a network cable. Speed variations over a wireless connection are possible because of the factors listed above, so measurements taken over a wireless connection cannot be taken into account.

Internet speed in FTTH packages (fibre to the home — up to 1 Gbit/s)

In FTTH packages, over an optical fibre brought all the way to the customer’s home, the download speed reaches up to 1 Gbit/s. FTTH is our fastest access technology, with fixed, guaranteed speeds. The speeds stated refer to connecting to the internet over a network cable.

Internet speed in 150.net packages

In packages that include the 150.net internet profile, the download speed can be from 105 to 150 Mbit/s and the upload speed from 14 to 20 Mbit/s. This speed is available over optical or coaxial cable. The speeds stated refer to connecting to the internet over a network cable.

Internet speed in 100.net packages

In packages that include the 100.net internet profile, the download speed can be from 70 to 100 Mbit/s and the upload speed from 14 to 20 Mbit/s. This speed is available over optical or coaxial cable. The speeds stated refer to connecting to the internet over a network cable.

Internet speed in 50.net packages

In packages that include the 50.net internet profile, the download speed can be from 35 to 50 Mbit/s and the upload speed from 7 to 10 Mbit/s. This speed is available over optical or coaxial cable. The speeds stated refer to connecting to the internet over a network cable.

Internet speed in max.net packages

After the chosen service is activated, detailed testing determines the actual speed the customer’s telephone line can support in download and upload for optimal operation.

The customer is provided with the highest speed the telephone line at their address allows, which in some cases can be up to 350 Mbit/s. The speed is determined before the contract is concluded and stated in the contract documentation.

The speeds stated refer to connecting to the internet over a network cable.

Internet speed in 4do10.net packages

After the chosen service is activated, detailed testing determines the actual speed the customer’s telephone line can support in download and upload for optimal operation.

Terrakom undertakes to provide a download of 2.8 to 4 Mbit/s and delivers a maximum possible speed of up to 10 Mbit/s depending on the quality and capacity of the telephone line. Terrakom undertakes to provide an upload of 0.35 to 0.5 Mbit/s and delivers a maximum possible speed of up to 0.65 Mbit/s depending on the quality and capacity of the telephone line.

The speeds stated refer to connecting to the internet over a network cable.
