HBO Europe, the leading premium television network in Europe, is proud to announce changes to its regional programming line-up, bringing viewers the best television content on its three channels — HBO, HBO 2 and HBO 3. The three themed channels offer a wide selection of top HBO content, including both American and HBO Europe production, drama and comedy, documentaries and hit films of every genre.
Launch of a completely new channel – HBO 3
HBO 3 is a completely new linear channel dedicated to series in prime time. HBO 3 starts broadcasting on 26 March 2016, from when it will be available to viewers in Croatia 24 hours a day.
HBO 3 brings viewers the best of series content — premieres of the newest HBO series, but also hit series from other studios, cult and award-winning American HBO production as well as series from HBO Europe original production. Besides series, the new channel also brings selected film titles shown during the day or in later evening slots. With HBO 3 viewers will also be able to enjoy weekend marathons of complete seasons of original HBO series.
HBO Comedy becomes HBO 2
Along with the launch of the new channel, HBO is introducing another change to its line-up — from 21 March HBO Comedy becomes HBO 2, a linear channel offering a wide selection of content for the whole family. HBO 2 will broadcast at least 20 hours a day, and the line-up will cover a rich catalogue of films and TV series — during the day comedies, family films and children’s content will be shown, while in the evening viewers can enjoy drama, comedy, thrillers, action and horror films. HBO 2 is a channel for the whole family.
The HBO channel remains the main channel of the multiplex, showing premieres of award-winning original production, including series and documentaries from American as well as European original production, and exclusive film premieres of the newest Hollywood blockbusters. HBO offers content 24 hours a day, and all key HBO original series will continue to be shown simultaneously with the American premiere, on this very channel.
